A natural oasis in the middle of the Californian desert, 180 km from Los Angeles: this is Palm Springs, where the jewels of Modernism persist more than ever. The architectural movement spread in the United States with Albert Frey, disciple of Le Corbusier, Richard Neutra or John Lautner, around the second world war. In the 50's, stars settled in Palm Springs, from Frank Sinatra to Bing Crosby, including Zsa Zsa Gabor. Nearly 5,000 iconic homes in Palm Springs alone. Mariotti chooses Indian Canyon Gardens and transcribes in his unique style the constant dialogue between architecture and landscape: white walls, swimming pool, alignments, large bay windows...

Born in Bahia, Brazil, and graduated in Graphic Arts at the FAAP Foundation in Sao Paulo, Mariotti moved to Paris in 1991 where he studied literature at the Sorbonne. Since then he has been illustrating for the press (Ideat Magazine) and advertising in France and abroad. At the same time, he is the permanent correspondent for the magazine Vogue Brésil in Paris.
