Iconic Parisian café with an apron-wearing waiter on the corner of rue Saint-Dominique and rue de la Tour Maubourg, in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, between the esplanade des Invalides and the Champ de Mars. At the end of the street, the Eiffel Tower rises up in a unique perspective. The 7th arrondissement is a timeless district, Mariotti draws it with an almost documentary precision, but makes it cross by an elegant woman, all dressed in yellow, in black gloves, an eternal silhouette like Audrey Hepburn.
Born in Bahia, Brazil, and a graduate of the Graphic Arts program at the FAAP Foundation in Sao Paulo, Mariotti moved to Paris in 1991 where he studied literature at the Sorbonne. Since then he has been illustrating for the press (Ideat Magazine) and advertising in France and abroad. At the same time, he is the permanent correspondent for Vogue Brazil magazine in Paris.
