Parisian life has its secrets, which Monsieur Z, French illustrator and graphic designer, reveals to us. The zinc roofs are an invitation to enjoy the sun and the view, whether you are a cat or a human. Paris appears in its summer splendor, in a magnificent tangle of chimneys and shadows, overlooked by the inevitable iron lady, the Eiffel Tower with its precise and delicate silhouette.
Richard Zielenkiewicz, known as Monsieur Z, is a French illustrator and graphic designer living in the south of France. He studied at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Graphiques Estienne and then obtained a DESS in computer graphics at the University Marc Bloch / Strasbourg. He has worked as an Art Director for major communication agencies. He also worked in the press as an art director. In 1998, he became a freelance illustrator and worked for Wallpaper* magazine, then Vogue Japon, Casa Brutus, Monsieur, Elle, Cosmo, Esquire, etc. Mainly known today for his colorful, pure illustrations inspired by Mid-Century design and architecture, he is the author of several animated TV series such as Ratz, Jet Groove.
The Monsieur Z Collection for Image Republic features graphic and colorful illustrations, slender fifties pin-ups, invitations to travel, and modernized architecture, which are available in several formats 30x40, 40x50 and 56x76 cm, in notebooks and postcards.
