François RAVARD was Born in Normandy in 1981. He completed his high school in Rennes, Britanny, before obtaining a diploma in advertising graphics. Since his beginnings, he has published about twenty comics and children's books, with Futuropolis, Gallimard, Flammarion, Glénat, Casterman... He received among others a special mention from the detective and crime story jury at the Angoulême festival in 2012 for the album "La faute aux Chinois" (with Ducoudray, published by Futuropolis), or the Junior Fiction Prize at the 2021 Montreuil festival for "Les filles montent pas si haut d'habitude" (with Alice Butaud, published by Gallimard).
In parallel, he regularly contributes to the magazines Bastille, 1 Hebdo, as well as Fluide Glacial.
Since 2017, Glénat also publishes his collections of drawings mixing humor and poetry on the theme of the sea, (such as Vague d'amour, released in 2021) with which he opened a gallery in Dinard, where he lives today. Read less
