PAUL THURLBY

Paul is an illustrator who lives on the south coast of England, in Brighton. His work is bold, striking, and colorful, driven by an expressive human touch and strong ideas. His major breakthrough came in 2011 when his personal project Alphabet was published by Templar. It later won the Opera Prima award at the Bologna Ragazzi Awards in 2013.

His drawing style is direct and impactful, with an immediate energy and a rare graphic clarity. He has a true sense of poster design—clean compositions, a vibrant palette, and a strong, recognizable visual language. His dynamic stripes and lively chromatic harmonies create a world that is both joyful and sophisticated.
